1 Million Reasons
One Million Reasons…
Long before [God] laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love ~ Ephesians 1:4 (MSG)
For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. ~2 Corinthians 5:1 (NLT)

We heard the stats at church: One million people claim no connection to Jesus or the church in the Seattle area. My guess is there isn’t one of us reading this today that doesn’t have someone we really care about that falls into that group…
…friends who haven’t found the love of Christ.
…family who are living apart from the purpose and plan God has for their lives.
…colleagues who will miss out on eternity in heaven.
If you’ve accepted Jesus as the Lord and Leader of your life, you have full assurance of all this and so much more. And we could celebrate and rest in that, but you know what? Let's not let anyone miss out on all that Jesus makes available to those that come to Him. Let's take as many of those one million people as possible with us to heaven!
Ben reminded us, we – the church – are the hope of the world because we bring the Good News of Jesus! What an honor and important job we have to share the truth of the Gospel and the hope of God’s love with our circles of influence. Be bold and look for opportunities to point people to Jesus today.
Prayer: Father, we pray for those around us who are missing out on knowing You and having a relationship with You through your Son, Jesus. Give us words to share your truth, opportunities to show your love, boldness to invite them to come to church that they might open their hearts to You. Amen.
