Host a Group of Your Own

If you want to do something that will make a huge difference in the church and in your own spiritual growth, host or lead a growth group! Opening your home to a group of people is one of the very best ways to connect, grow and serve at Timberlake. We make it really easy by giving you all you need to lead – group icebreakers, engaging group discussion questions and real bible study. You invite some friends and neighbors, make the coffee and start the discussion. No experience required. It’s about an 8 week commitment and we’ll be there to help you along the way.

If you are open to hosting a group of your own, we'd love to help make that happen. Get started here Give us your information and sign up for an hour – long host training that will give you all the details you’ll need to start a group of your own.

About Growth Groups

What is a Group at Timberlake Church?
We believe that church is more than what happens in a building on Sundays. Groups are a vital part of the life of Timberlake, where we can take the experience from the auditorium into the neighborhood and really get to know each other.

At Timberlake, Groups have 6 – 20 people and meet weekly for 6 to 12 weeks. They usually center around an activity or study, and some even serve in our community or go on missions trips together. Each season, almost all the groups in our catalog are new, so don’t worry if you’ve never been in a group before – everyone starts at the same time!

How do I know which Group is for me?
There are always lots of options when it comes to finding a group that fits you.  When you look through the listing you’ll see groups generally fall into the following types.

  • Groups for Everyone
  • Couples Groups
  • Women's Groups
  • Men's Groups
  • Groups for Young Adults
  • Activity Groups
  • Support and Recovery Groups

Within each of these categories you’ll find groups for certain life stages, for certain neighborhoods, or other parameters that can help you connect with people just like you!
