What To Expect

What to expect at Timberlake Church

First of all we know it can be a little intimidating to walk into a church for the first time – whether you’ve been to others or this is the first time anywhere. In order to ease your mind and to help you know just what you’ll experience, we thought we’d give you a little overview of what you can expect if you come to check out a service.

1.   Choose a Service: Each service is exactly the same and you can choose from one of our three services, Saturday at 5:30pm and Sunday at 9:15am & 11:15am. Wear whatever makes you comfortable – jeans and t-shirts are just fine! Great kids programs for children (infant-5th grade) and Middle School (6th-8th grades) are available at each morning service.  High school (9-12th grades) has their own service at 11:15am.

2.   Arrive and Get Parked:  Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to find parking and get to the auditorium. The church is directly north of the Albertsons on Hwy 202 – watch for the signs to direct you. There’s parking both above and below the building and our parking team will direct you. Feel free to ask them to point the way to a first-time guest parking spot.

3.   Find a Place for Yourself and Your Kids: There will be numerous greeters wearing  “Can I Help You?” badges all around. You can ask them to point you to the auditorium (or to children’s check-in if you have kids).  Middle School students meet in the lower level of the building and High School students meet in the Youth Center behind the auditorium. We have a Connection Center in the main foyer with volunteers who can help you with directions, questions or whatever you might need.

4.   Coffee, Espresso, & Restrooms:  This being the coffee capital that it is, of course we have free coffee before and after each service. You can bring it right into the auditorium with you. Espresso drinks are available on Sunday before services at our "Grounds Crew" latte cart. Restrooms are available in the foyer, the children’s area and in the lobby of the student center.

5.  Enjoy the program: Our services are designed to excite, inspire and challenge you! It will last about 60 minutes and include funny and creative video elements, 3 to 4 rockin' worship songs and about a 30 minute relevant message that applies to your everyday life. Our goal is that you walk away each week with a modern-day application of a Biblical principle.

6.  Relax and Be Our Guest:  During our services you’ll never be singled out as a visitor.  You aren’t expected to participate in the offering. You can remain entirely anonymous if you like. The only thing you’ll be encouraged to do is fill out a Connection Card so we know you were with us and can give you some more information.  You can take the time to come visit the Connection Center afterwards so we can get to know you a little. We’ll have a small gift there for you too! When you are comfortable, you can take the next step by joining a growth group, ministry team or Discover Membership.
